                                           DARLENE AGNER

I wanted my paintings to reflect a moment in time and to capture the essence of natures beauty and the heritage of a Ottawa's city. When walking through nature and sitting by water or being in a garden surrounded by flowers, gives a sense of well being and a connection to God's creation. I am a believer in human rights and freedom. Freedom lives in the hearts of the people.

I like nature and the diversity of the four seasons. Living in Canada with its changing seasons and beautiful landscapes. gives me a variety to paint. My subjects range from landscapes, cityscapes, gardens, florals and portraits. I take commission work also. My style is between realism and Impressionism. My choice of medium is oil on stretch canvas, and pastels.

I was born in Canada, and I am from Montreal. I now live in the Outaouais area, with my husband. From the age of ten I became interested in art.I took art courses through out high school and private lesson's in Montreal. I was a member of Ottawa's Art Association and my work has been exhibited at Ottawa's Little Theater, Cumberland City Hall, The Old Mill, and other places in Ottawa. My work has been exhibited and sold in Koymans Galleries, Vogue Gallery, A'Lamont Gallery and sold privately.
